Special Session: October 3rd

The Governor has announced a special session (PDF document) to address and vote on proposed maps submitted to the full Legislature by the Redistricting Committee. This map is a modified version of the School Board map adopted by the Redistricting Committee at the August 22, 2011 meeting (School Board: Redistricting Committee “Base Map”). This map includes suggested changes from committee members and technical changes made by committee staff.  Changes made include using boundaries that are more easily identifiable, such as a road or county line, instead of a boundary that may change in the future, such as a voting precinct or city boundary.

School Board - Committee Base Map

School Board: Redistricting Committee “Base Map” (Original)

This map was submitted by Robert Horning (“School Board Plan 57″) through the online redistricting tool and then modified – based on public comment and committee input – so there are fewer divisions across school district boundaries.

This map was an original proposal for an adopted School Board plan, but after further discussion, the map was modified to School Board : Redistricting Committee “Base Map 9/7/2011″.
